Coalition Strategic Planning & Renewal

San Francisco Neighborhood Centers Together

Established in 2001, SFNCT is a collaborative network of neighborhood-based organizations committed to strengthening communities and improving the lives of residents across San Francisco and the surrounding areas.

THE GOAL

After a period of leadership and structural change, the coalition sought support to develop a new strategic plan—one that would re-engage members, clarify direction, and strengthen the future of the organization.

THE APPROACH

We helped SFNCT understand its strengths, name its barriers, and identify practical, operational next steps to evolve the organization. We did this through:

Listened to stakeholders

Interviews, surveys, and facilitated discussions surfaced honest perspectives from across the network.

Facilitated a strategic retreat

A dedicated retreat built trust and alignment among members and created shared momentum.

Led a series of mini-workshops

Focused sessions on organizational governance, membership, advocacy, and structure.

Created a Developmental Reset Strategy

A practical roadmap to move the network confidently into its next phase.

THE RESULTS

Members developed a shared understanding of the coalition's strengths and challenges—and moved toward a shared vision and goals.

Re-engagement and increased participation among coalition members across the network.

A clear vision and roadmap for infrastructure, governance, and coordination to support the organization's continued success.
