THE GOAL
ECD team sought to strengthen how it measures and communicates its value as an economic engine and community partner, supporting the 50+ communities that are home to Google’s Data Centers.
THE APPROACH
We partnered with the ECD team to develop a framework to define, assess and report impact, and to serve as an anchor for internal and external reporting and ongoing measurement.
Defined the impact thesis
Established Impact Thesis and measurement framework.
Turned regional data into one story
Synthesized multi-regional data, community stories into a cohesive narrative for the first ECD Annual Impact Report (2025).
Built a system they own
Provided measurement and reporting framework for ongoing community-based data collection and reporting.
THE RESULTS
Published inaugural Impact Report showcasing how ECD works with and supports Data Center Communities.
Team has a clear roadmap and the data tools to support a repeatable, sustainable measurement process. .
With a clear narrative and practical measurement plan, the Economic Community Development team is well positioned to continue to create impact and a compelling, evidence-based narrative.
